The 2017 MINI JCW Convertible has a bulldog in its 1.5-liter TwinPower turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine, which propels the small ride with 228 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Harnessed to the engine is a 6-speed manual transmission with dual-cone synchronizers for smooth, quick, and precise gear shifting. However, you can opt for a 6-speed automatic transmission for increased convenience. The JCW vehicle presents three driving modes to fulfill the range of motoring moods: Sport for more excitement, Green for more fuel efficiency, and Mid Mode for a balance between the aforementioned two. There's also a start/stop engine switch for toggling ignition. Adopting a front-engine/front-wheel drive layout, the 2017 Mini JCW convertible maxes out at 23/31 mpg in fuel economy.
