Performance

The engine lineup for the MINI Cooper Clubman is the same for both model years. The base engine in the 1.5-liter turbo 3-cylinder with 134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The midlevel Cooper S provides a 2.0-liter turbo-4 with 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. The top-of-the-line John Cooper Works Clubman uses a more powerful version of the turbo-4 engine, delivering 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. You can select either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

Appearance

The 2018 Clubman expanded the Technology Package by adding Apple CarPlay for wireless integration between your iPhone and the vehicle. The dashboard screen has been revamped for 2018 to resemble the iPhone interface. To improve viewing ease, the instrument panel received enhancements such as a more visible fuel-level indicator. The new toggle switch for driving modes (Sport, Standard and Green) was repositioned directly below the air conditioner controls.

Safety

Rear parking sensors and rearview cameras were optional on the 2017 Clubman, but they are standard features for 2018. The color display for night driving was orange in 2017, but changed to white in 2018 to increase visibility. The optional Head-Up Display receives a height setting for 2018 that is part of your personal, recallable profile, which also includes settings for exterior mirrors and adjustable seats.
